Three for the Road

I haven't been posting much lately. I've been busy with a lot of life things. I'm getting married this summer. Building a house. Life things. Awesome things. This is an entry that is long overdue though. I'd like to point out a couple of blogs that I feel are true and real.

I like to surf around looking for motorsickle related blogs. All too often I find some fashion plate posting pics from other blogs and not really having a clue. One blog that will not be named actually fooled me into paying attention for a few months. Later I found out that the blog was a full on "fashion" blog. Fashion. Really. I felt duped. The whole experience reminded me of a story where my friend's dad was out with his family shopping. The girls were getting pedicures or something so he decided to catch a film. He saw a poster that featured cowboys and looked like a western. You can probably imagine his surprise when the plot of Brokeback Mountain unfolded.

Here are three blogs that get my thumbs up. These are not fashion blogs. These are not "cool kids" talking about spending their trust funds on their first panhead. These guys are for real. Cheers, fellas.

American Wind

This blog is one of my faves right now. Pics and stories from his parents' past. Pics and stories from his own present. This guy has real heritage. This is one of my favorite posts.

Iron Vaquero

Real pics from the road. Just go to the blog right now. Follow it. And while you're at it, thank this guy for his service to our country. Much respect.

Junk with Wheels

Ok, first of all, this guy rides a shovel. So right out of the gate, he has my respect. What keeps me coming back are the detailed photos of his work on said shovel. Head rebuild, yep, he documents that. Split rockers? Yeah, he covers that.

So that's three for the road. Thanks guys. Thanks for making blogs worth following.
