Made in USA

Apologies for the blurry photo. I'll replace it with a better one soon. I just scored this points cover off of ebay. Yeah, I know it says "live to ride" on it and all that but, man, I think it looks pretty bitchin'. On the back it says the name of some company that I can't think of right now, 1981, and Made in USA. In this day and age, it's always a nice surprise to see something made in this country. Even if it's 29 years old.

88 mph

Where are these car shots coming from? These are all teasers from the Rhinebeck Car Show that took place May 2010 in Rhinebeck, NY. Yeah, I know, I'm seven months late on this but, gimme a break, I had a great summer. The weather was perfect way too often to be staying inside posting on this thing. And now that it's 20 degrees out, I'm playing catch up. More pics to follow including the Krunk City Sleeper and the Wicked Hood Ornament Rod.

Police Special

Found a great blog called American Wind. Check it out.

Champion Spark Plugs

A lot of people I know don't like Champ Plugs. Quality control issues etc. I use them. I've had a few go bad on me but for the most part, they get the job done fine. At the moment, I have some oil getting in the combustion chamber so no matter what plug I use, it's going to get fouled up eventually. I've tried other plugs without noticing any improvement. I see no reason to change from a classic that works.

Honda CB 550

My dad brought me to kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade on one of these. Same year/style as this one but his was brown. My first year on it was spent sitting on the tank and holding on to the handlebars. I can't believe my mom let him do that. I'm not entirely sure that she knew, come to think about it. Once my feet could reach the pegs, I was riding on the back which was safer and a lot more legal.
